Our Vision:(Pay back to Society – Dr. B R Ambedkar)

DRBRAGMRPOSA (Regd No: 439 of 2014) is the Alumni Association of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Government Model Residential Polytechnic, Bommuru, Rajahmundry, East Godavari (Dist), Andhra Pradesh. India. Established in 2014. It comprises of Old Students of college and is dedicated to promote and foster mutually beneficial and enduring relationship between the Institution, present Students, Alumni and between the Alumni themselves. It is toformed to undertake and organise activities of a civicand also to increase public awareness of the role of Technology in value addition in the economic and social development of the nation.

Achievements of Old Students Association:

2013:

Conducted 20 meeting city wise and collected 800 Old Students details
Collected 5 Lacks rupees from Old Students to help College/Students

2014:

Conducted 25 Years of Old Students Get-together on 25^th January 2014 and spend 1.2 Lacks for the event. 350 Old Students + 450 college studying Students + 50 Teaching and non-teaching staff + 25 others (Total 825 members) attended the event.

2015:

Donated RO Water Plant in Hostel worth of 1.75 Lacks
Sponsored ECET 2015 coaching to 6 Students (2 from each Branch)

2016:

Sponsored ECET 2015 coaching to 6 Students (2 from each Branch)
Conducting Career Guidance and Personality Development program to Students
Planning to Sponsor 200 to 300 Books to college Library

Got the idea in 2011 Year and he met Joseph (92 CM) and Joseph gathered 10 Government Model Residential old students in Bangalore and met in one place and discussed about plans for Silver Jubilee Celebrations. Joseph created Facebook “Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Govt. Model Residential Polytechnic Old Students Association” and helped to reach 1000 Old Students.

In 2012 Sivaji got the idea of 25 years get-together idea and then conducted meetings in Hyderabad 5 times and he opened bank account and met Joseph (92 CM) and we worked together. Anna collected around 75 old student details. He reached college 2 days before and all involved in all arrangements of 25^th January 2014 get-together. He has completely follow up for RO Plant setup in our college and helped to open Association Bank account in Rajahmundry.

In 2011 Kumar Anna (90 EC) had this idea of 25 years celebrations and we met at Bangalore. I have created the Facebook group (Government Model ResidentialPolytechnic Rajahmundry Old Students Association). In 2013 Sivaji Anna (88 EC) met in Bangalore. We both worked together then I met Praveen (97 CM) Srinivas J (2005 CM) and Ratna Kishore (96 Mech) and planned well. I have done mails composing to all Students of Government Model Residential, SMS compose, Facebook groups update, Blogs update and event day timelines. I have collected around 100 old student details. I reached college one day prior and involved in all arrangements for 25 Years get-together. Joseph has involved in RO Plant setup in college and involved in ECET coaching selection of students.

Praveen Kumar B
(1997 CM Batch)

When Praveen met Joseph (92 CM) in Facebook group, then we used to talk everyday about the plans. Praveen and Purna (92 CM) went to college and got the permission for 25^th Jan 2014 event. He arranged 3 times meetings in Hyd. He used to send SMS and mails to Hyderabad old students. He collected around 150 old student details. He reached college 2 days prior and involved in all arrangements. He has used his car for 3 days continuously. Sending bulk SMS to every Student of Government Model Residential College (600 members) is taking care by him. He is in USA right now due to his career development.

Ratna Kishore M

Joseph (92 CM) met Ratna Kishore with the help of Praveen. We used to talk everyday about the plans. He called every day atleast 10 people and tell about this event. He used to send daily 100 SMS to his Government Model Residential College contacts. He arranged 2 times meetings in Vijayawada. He collected around 150 old student details. He reached college 1 day prior and involved in all arrangements of 25^th Jan 2014 get-together.

Joseph (92 CM) met Srinivas J in Facebook group. We used to talk everyday about the plans. He called every day at least 10 people and said about this event. He used to send daily 40 SMS to his Government Model Residential College contacts. He arranged 2 times meetings in Chennai. He collected around 100 old student details. He reached college 2 days prior and involved in all arrangements of 25^th Jan 2014 get-together.

Srini Anna, Prasanna (87) Praveen (97 CM) and Purna (92 CM) went to college and got the permission for event. Anna spared his entire day in the college and went by his car. Anna arranged 2 times meetings in Rajahmundry. He enquired about Food, hotels, Tents, Chairs, Stage related and everything. He reached college 2 days prior and involved in all arrangements of 25^th Jan 2014 get-together. He has used his car for 3 days continuously. He has completely taken care to open Association Bank account in Rajahmundry. has involved in RO Plant setup in college and involved in ECET coaching selection of students.

Purna Chandrarao
(1992 CM Batch)

Purna (92 CM) and Praveen went to college and got the permission for event. He involved 3 times meetings in Hyderabad. He used to send SMS and mails to Hyderabad old students. He collected around 45 old student details. Bulk SMS package idea is owned by Purna. All Banners compose and printing has taken care by Purna. He reached college 2 days prior and involved in all arrangements of 25^th Jan 2014 get-together.

Devendra Rao anna attended get-together and follow up done with his batch mates to make sure most of the guys attended the event. He spared his valuable time to design the Old Students Association Logo. He has involved in RO Plant setup in college and involved in ECET coaching selection of students.

Johnson Anna
(1987 CM Batch)

Johnson Anna (87 Computers) – Anna is working as computer assistant in our college. He helped a lot for Auditorium permission and kept the keys with him. He was with us till 24^th night. His mother was serious and passed away in the night. 25^th morning we took the keys and Anna went to his native. Thanks to his great help and commitment.
